Hello folks!
I have started this blog to post my reviews of beer. Yes. Beer. It sounds silly, but it’s something of which I am quite fond. Beer has been the subject of much scorn and distaste, especially American brands. The “domestics” (Coors, Budweiser, Miller, Michelob, et cetera) are probably not going to be reviewed. John Cleese, esteemed patron of the Python troupe, has been quoted referred to American beer as “carbonated gnat’s piss”. This, in general, is an apt illustration.
I have no quarrels with their brands, but I have seen the light! It certainly wasn’t at the bottom of the average imported bottle, but of some of the more unusual brews. I’ve drunken many of foreign beers! Kronenbourg 1664, Delirium Tremens, Weihenstephaner, Curim Golden Celtic Wheat, and Hitachino Nest to name a few, from around the world! I have to admit, the best brew I have ever had, was from a small, local brewmaster’s kitchen. Western Cross… I would love another oatmeal porter!
I know that there are plenty of other reviewers that review beers, and maybe they know more than I do. I express my opinion of the brews I taste, and encourage everyone who reads this blog to remember that taste is subjective. There are going to be brews that I can’t stand that others may revel. No matter the case, please, I implore you:
- Drink safely
- Have a designated driver if you plan on traveling after drinking
- Most importantly, drink and be merry in good taste, and in good company
Sincerely,
TheBrewMiser
